Location of Holmewood and Tong
Tong and Holmewood are in the extreme southeast of Bradford District in a wedge of land between Bradford and Leeds. The area is surrounded on the outskirts by Green Belt land. This may change, however as Bradford Council are consulting with local people on plans to build between 2,000 and 5,000 new houses. The surrounding areas incorporate Drighlington which is 2 km to the south, Gildersome, 2 km to the southeast and New Farnley 2.5 km to the east.
